About Tsavo East
Tsavo East is one of the national parks of Kenya that is well known for its unique safari experience. It has been one of the oldest parks of Kenya, since it was found in 1948. There is another side to this park which is known as the Tsavo West, the reason why it was divided into east and west was because of a railway passing between these two sides. Also, it is well known as the largest park of Kenya as it covers thousands of kilo meters of land and has almost four gates.
Day 1; Mombasa/Diani – Tsavo East
Depart from your hotel in the morning and drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi road to the first gate of Tsavo East National park. Enter the via the Bachuma gate and embark on your first game drive in search of Elephants, the man eaters of Tsavo, Buffalos, Cheetahs, Giraffe, Antelopes etc. VisitElephants drinking at the Voi Safari Lodge water hole the famous Aruba dam where lots of game can be found especially during the dry season. There after proceed to Voi safari lodge/Voi Wildlife Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in the same lodge.
Day 2; Tsavo East – Mombasa
Early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast ;depart from your lodge and proceed for the mid morning game drive in this vast national park in search of the big five. Later drive to lion hill restaurant for lunch. There after drive back to Mombasa arriving in the afternoon.
